HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
                            In the early years, Tinampo is a part of Barangay Cavasi. It was Tinampo because of the concrete road which
was the first achievement of this place. This concrete road connectsbarangay Tinampo with other barangay in Ligao. The
total land area is 310.4 hectares. It is four kilometers away from the town proper. It is bounded by barangay Bongoran, Oas,
Albay on the North, barangay Macalidong , Ligao on the South, barangay San Vicente, Oas, Albay on the West and
barangay Cavasi of Ligao on the East.
   
              Tinampo has a total population of 2 656 as reflected in the 2007 NSO census. It is peaceful and beautiful place
to live in.
   
                TINAMPO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is situated at Barangay Tinampo, Ligao City which is approximately 3km
away from the city proper. It has a total land area of more or less 8000 sq.m donated by Mr. Nemecio Precones.
   The First building constructed in 1988 from the Department of Education. It became first an annex of Cavasi Elementary
School which after four years classes in grade 1 and 2 were started with Mrs. Teresita Rempis  and Mrs. Purification Ariate
as its teachers. From 60 pupils, the enrolment increased year after year and building was added through the effort of then
Kagawad Arthur Ariate.
   with the cooperation of the Deped, Provincial Government, LGU and Brgy. Council, Parent, and other stakeholders of
education, it became the growing school in terms of enrolment and teachers until it became a complete-rural elementary
school with First Graduation Exercises in 2004.
